Good Glue

November's Glue of the Month is Good Glue. Good Glue is primarily designed for picture framing, photo mounting and collage, but we found it to be a fairly useful glue for many purposes. It bonds paper or fabric to wood, cardboard, and even glass. Being a vegetable starch glue it is non toxic, acid free, dries clear and doesn't cause paper to wrinkle like most P.V.A. glues do. It is easy to work with, allowing 5-7 minutes working time, curing completely in 15 to 30 minutes depending on the porosity of the materials being bonded. Good Glue is not water proof, and is only as strong a bond as one would need for paper or cardboard. Good Glue is made in Canada by Quality Tyme products and is available at many art supplies, picture framing and photography stores in Canada and the U.S. for about C$6 a 125ml container. We think Good Glue lives up to it's name.

Past Glues of the Month

If you've discovered a glue that you've grown attached to, please let us know. Maybe we can honor your glue in a future month.
